Automation Technician- Electrical, Mechanical & Operations

Overview

Responsible for supporting automated and robotic production equipment in our SMART manufacturing plant and will also support research and development activities. This is a hands-on role that requires an individual with strong mechanical and electrical engineering skills and the ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair high tech heavy production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operating Automated production line cells
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the automated and robotic production equipment in the plant
  • Implement preventive maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and increase equipment availability
  • Develop and implement equipment upgrades to improve productivity and quality
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to develop efficient and innovative production techniques
  • Provide technical support to the production team and work closely with them to optimize the manufacturing process
  • Develop and maintain equipment documentation and records
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards

Qualifications:

  • Qualified in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on automation and robotics
  • Experience with programming and troubleshooting PLCs and other control systems
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing processes
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferable Experience:

  • Maintenance and operations of rebar manufacturing machine (Schnell, Progress,Evg etc)
